Railroad Right of Way

GTP's Railroad Development business unit is focused on railroad right of way tower development, tower marketing, management and leasing, and right of way asset acquisition.

Through partnerships with Norfolk Southern, OmniTrax, and Regional Rail, GTP has access to over 25,000 miles of operating railroad rights of way in 24 states amounting to the largest aggregation of railroad rights of way available for tower development in the United States. GTP, today, continues to grow the internal portfolio of railroad property through M&A activity with both Class 1 and short-line operators alike.

GTP has:

  • A dedicated staff with vast experience in the space, having constructed and leased over 220 towers to third party wireless carriers on railroad property
  • Working knowledge of railroad departmental approvals and general safety requirements across multiple railroads
  • Vast operating history with wireless carriers insuring network deployment objectives are met on railroad rights of way
