BOCA RATON, FL, December 4, 2009 - Global Tower Partners ("GTP") announced the closing of DukeNet Communication Services ("DNCS") from DukeNet Communications LLC, a subsidiary of Duke Energy ("DUKE") (NYSE: DUK). The acquisition of DNCS includes 141 communications towers, as well as other wireless communication assets.

The towers GTP acquired are located in eight states throughout the U.S. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
