Purpose: 

Responsible for overseeing the general accounting team.

Job Functions:

1. Produce monthly financial statements and other packages for investors, lenders and management
2. Plan and execute to meet monthly deadlines for month-end closing of financial statements
3. Coordinate annual financial statement audits
4. Analyze to see patterns of weakness or exposure to error, diagnose the issues, design and implement process improvements to address weaknesses or other opportunities
5. Collaborate closely with other accounting departments, and other company departments
6. Collaborate on ad-hoc or recurring project teams to prepare various analysis for enhancement of the business

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: 

Position will work directly from the corporate office.  Candidate must have the flexibility to occasionally work overtime, including weekends. 

Qualifications:

1. Must have a 4 year college degree in Accounting.  Masters and CPA preferred.
2. At least 10 years total work experience
3. Prefer big 4 experience with at least 5 years industry experience
4. Supervisory experience of teams of 5 - 10 people
5. Experience with Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and FRx reporting software
6. Prefer real estate experience or other high volume recurring revenue contractual business
7. Prefer publicly held company experience
8. Strong working knowledge of financial accounting and financial reporting standards
9. Familiarity with auditing requirements and approach
10. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth changing environment   
11. Ability to balance need for discipline with flexibility
12. Ability to identify "what matters" or makes a difference
13. Team-oriented, and self motivated, inquisitive
14. Interest & knowledge of how overall business works - operations, financing etc
15. Analytical and critical thinking skills
